How does a gold star get earned?

When a day's practice adds up to the student's daily goal. Several short sessions on one day count together. Days in a row with a star make the streak.

What if we forgot to start the timer?

On Progress, under Sessions, tap Add and enter the day and the minutes.

Does the timer keep going if we leave the app?

Yes. It keeps time from the moment you tapped Start, even if you switch apps or the screen locks. Tap Finish when you are done.

Why is there no sound?

Check that Sound is on in Settings and the volume is up. The piano plays even with the ring switch set to silent.

How do I record a song?

Open Studio, tap Record, wait for the four clicks, then play. Tap the record button again when you finish. The song is written on the staff as you play. On iPhone, tap the keyboard button or turn the phone sideways to see both octaves. On iPad both octaves are always there.

What does the full version add?

More students, as many saved songs as you like, the full practice history (the free version shows the last 4 weeks and keeps the rest), and the weekly picture to send to a teacher. It is one purchase, not a subscription. To get it on a new iPhone or iPad, use Restore purchase in Settings.
